Our Vegas Girl

David and I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in October of 2007. As a young couple, we knew only that we wanted to work and enjoy life, and we have. I got a culinary union job and worked as a vested cocktail server for 9 years. David worked as a bartender/ server/ manager at restaurants throughout Las Vegas.
Along they way we hit some big milestones!
David and I were married in Hastings, MI in 2010, both moms wouldn't have it any other way. In 2013, David graduated with honors from the College of Southern Nevada with a degree in culinary arts. Just as David was graduating college, a close friend was making his own dream of owning a restaurant a reality and he brought David in as a manager, working closely from concept to reality. It was that experience that gave David the knowledge and confidence to pursue his own ownership dreams. **Personal Note: Juan and Darcey Vazquez, your friendship has been both sustaining and inspiring to us and we will forever be grateful for it.
2015 saw one of our biggest accomplishments, the birth of our daughter, Annabel. She is the force that finally brought us home. Las Vegas is a fun place to spend your 20s but Annabel’s arrival heralded the call to Michigan, the call home. We opened our first restaurant in Mendon, MI in 2018, and have grown beyond our wildest dreams. Then, in 2021 we changed everything all at once by closing our first restaurant, signing the papers for our new location, and bringing home our son, Arthur, from the hospital, all in the same week! We are looking forward to continuing to share life's great moments with our guests and bring our homemade versions of southwest classics to the Portage and Kalamazoo areas!
